„Glück auf“ and welcome to the Gand mining experience in St. Anton am Arlberg. After more than a hundred years of beauty sleep the historical site was revived with this project. Two former mining tunnels were opened to the public and on the newly installed circular walk the visitors can now find out everything about the mining history of the place, the working processes and the life of the miners. Our task was to give the project a face, to create a logo with recognition factor, to develop an elaborate colour concept and design and present the Gand Mining on various online and offline channels.

The visitors of the circular walk don’t have to follow their noses, as we developed a clear guidance system. After we had been invited to take a look at the area ourselves, with expertly guidance by the scientific director of the project, we designed information desks and signs in the colours turquois, inspired by oxidized copper, and elegant black and white. The signs were completed with copper engravings, especially made for the project to take the visitors to a journey into the past. Not carved in stone but brought to online life was the website of the Gand mining experience.
